HP has released new firmware updates affecting a range of OfficeJet and LaserJet printers, raising concerns among users reliant on third-party cartridges. Firmware version 2514A, dated 6 May 2025, applies to HP OfficeJet Pro models including the 7720, 7730, 7740, 8210, 8710, 8715, 8720, 8725, 8730, and 8740. This update affects printers using HP 953 series cartridges.
