If you have print quality problems, follow these steps to clean the corona wire:
\nDo not use any type of spray to clean the inside and outside of the device, as this may result in fire or electric shock.<\/p>\n
1.Open the front cover.
\n2.Slowly remove the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly.
\n3. We recommend that you place the toner container on a piece of paper that is easy to handle and has a clean, smooth surface to prevent spilling of toner.
\n4. To prevent damage to the printer from static electricity, do not touch the electrodes shown in the figure.
\n5.Gently slide the green slider left and right several times to clean the main corona wire inside the drum unit.
\n6. Make sure to slide the slider back to the original position. If the slider is not in the initial position, printed pages may show vertical streaks.
\n7.Replace the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly in the printer.
\n8.Close the front cover.<\/p>\n
If the Error light is still flashing after cleaning the corona wire. Make sure the machine is jammed.
\nIf the Drum light is still flashing after cleaning the corona wire, the drum unit is nearing the end of its life. We recommend that you replace the drum unit with a new one.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
